 WSDC Appoints Regional Directorate to Spearhead Global Connectivity Framework
The World Sports Development Committee (WSDC) is proud to announce the official appointment of seven Regional Directors. This strategic expansion of our leadership team is designed to ensure specialized oversight and localized growth across our global territories.  

The 2026 Regional Directorate

The following leaders have been selected to advance the WSDC’s mission within their respective regions:  

North America: Allyson Felix – Collegiate Integration  

South America: Alicia Morea – Youth Academy Development  

Europe: Ms. Annamarie – Modernization & Sustainability  

Africa: Julie Asante – Grassroots Infrastructure  

Asia-Pacific: Philip Miao – Technological Innovation in Sport  

Middle East: Mohamed Khalifa Al Nuaimi – International Event Hosting  

Oceania: Marcus Daniell – Coastal & Aquatic Sports Policy  

Strategic Mandate: 2026 Global Connectivity Framework

These appointments mark the beginning of the 2026 Global Connectivity Framework. Each director is tasked with three key pillars to drive regional success:  

Localized Governance: Tailoring WSDC standards to enhance regional sporting cultures.  

Economic Impact: Partnering with local governments to increase the GDP contribution of the sports sector.  

Inclusive Access: Expanding the “Sport for All” program to reach an additional 10 million participants by 2028.

Upcoming Global Leadership Summit

The WSDC will host a Global Leadership Summit on September 29 at our central office. During this summit, all seven directors will present their 500-day regional action plans. A live stream will be provided for all member federations.

It operates as a “guardian” of sport games and a leader in a global network, aligning initiatives with UN SDGs, focusing on youth engagement, peace-building, and evidence-based policy

SDGs: The organization’s initiatives are heavily aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Key areas include promoting inclusive, safe, and sustainable cities (SDG 11) and fostering peace and education (SDG 16).Strengthening sport’s role in health, education, reducing inequalities, and building peace, often linked to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The WSDC holds general meetings (“The Session”) for final decisions on rule changes and hosts
